World Now

A window into the world, right now.

Drop into a city, tune in to local radio, and see its weather and scenery. A little escape whenever your attention needs room to breathe.

THE MAKING OF WORLD NOW

Starting with a small question

When work and information fill our attention, could we spend a moment somewhere far away without planning a trip or scrolling another feed? World Now began with that thought: open a window onto another place, right now.

Design principles

01

Arrive first, then explore

First, know where you are. Then tune in to local radio and notice the time and weather. Place and sound anchor the experience; other details appear when they belong.

02

Leave room for a chance encounter

Random roaming leaves the next stop open, while a location picker lets you choose. You can set off without a plan or return to a place you miss.

03

Less information, more presence

Nearby traces of life and artworks that echo the moment are small things to encounter while you stay. They do not need to fill the screen. When nothing fits, leave the space open.

Where it is today

World Now is available on the web and for Mac. It continues to evolve, with the hope that each visit gives your attention a moment somewhere else.
